This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our web application to automate your Instagram Direct Messages.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as data gathered automatically when you connect your Instagram account:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and authentication credentials via Firebase Auth.
• Instagram Data: By authorizing DropIt, we receive an access token from Meta to interact with the Instagram Graph API on your behalf. We retrieve your Instagram Account ID, media (posts/reels) metadata (like IDs, thumbnails, captions), and incoming comments based on your automation rules.
• Automation Rules: We store the keywords, DM replies, and public comment replies you configure in our secure Firestore database.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used strictly for the operation and improvement of DropIt. Specifically, we use it to:

• Provide the core automation service (listening to comments and sending automated DMs/replies).
• Display your Instagram media inside your dashboard to help you configure rules.
• Maintain the security and integrity of our application.
• Provide customer support.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or Instagram data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

DropIt utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Our primary sub-processors include Google Firebase (for database hosting and user authentication) and Meta / Instagram Graph API (for connecting to your Instagram account). Please refer to the respective privacy policies of these third-party services for more details on their data handling practices.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as your DropIt account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may disconnect your Instagram account at any time from your Dashboard Settings, which immediately deletes our access token. If you wish to permanently delete your DropIt account and all associated rule data, please contact our support team.

6. Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Your automation rules and tokens are securely stored using Firebase Firestore with restricted access rules. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
